Co-founded an online publishing organisation focused on providing genuinely balanced journalism. In addition to writing news articles and occasional opinion pieces and features and conducting interviews, Managing Editor is the second-highest role and involves managing the technical platforms of the publication (the website and communication systems), fact-checking, evaluating the assessment of data, identifying legal concerns in content (such as possibly defamatory statements and intellectual property infringements), and ensuring content is formatted consistently and accurately. This role requires the application of legal knowledge and research skills, but has also involved developing a custom WordPress theme for the website from scratch.

Registered a community interest company in the United Kingdom on behalf of six guarantors, and was appointed Company Secretary on registration. Responsibilities include maintaining the company registers and accounts, managing company correspondence, registering for corporation tax, preparing minutes of meetings, and advising the Company and its Directors of the Company’s obligations under British and English law.

Researched and coordinated the development of party policy as Policy Development Officer (Jul 2013–Jul 2014). Researched and prepared numerous submissions to public inquiries conducted by bodies such as the Australian Law Reform Commission and Parliamentary Committees as Inquiries Officer (Aug 2014–Dec 2016). Arbitrated disputes that arose under the party constitution as a member of the Dispute Resolution Committee (Aug 2016–Mar 2017).

Completed the practical legal training course required to be admitted as a lawyer in New South Wales. The coursework component consisted of mandatory exercises and assessments in interviewing, problem solving, drafting, advocacy, ethics and professional responsibility, civil litigation, property law, and commercial law. Covered the Priestly 11 subjects required for Australian legal practitioners, in addition to mandatory studies in alternative dispute resolution, basic jurisprudence, and commercial transactions law (which included consumer law and bankruptcy among others). Electives chosen were intellectual property law, international law (public, environmental and climate), law and public policy, wills and succession, jurisprudence, and comparative law. Received First Year High Achievers Award for excellence in the first semester.

Completed studies in performance, composition, theory, musicology and sound technologies. Acquired a range of additional skills, including preparation of presentations and conducting research, as well as preliminary skills in business operation and intellectual property.
